The game of lacrosse can be played in many different ways. It can range from playing indoors with a six person team, or playing outdoors with an ten person team. When playing outdoors, the field is normally 100 yards by 60 yards and the goal is 6 feet by 6 feet, with a nine foot radius outside of the goal area. Players also use sticks of different lengths when playing outside, and the goalie wears a variety of different pads to keep them safe. When playing inside, the size of the field is smaller than an outside field, but differs depending on where it is. Indoor goalies wear more padding and all players must use the same size stick, no matter what position they are playing. Why do you think the game of lacrosse is so different when played indoors versus outdoors? How do you think the tactics of lacrosse differ depending on where it is played?
I think the game is different from outdoors and indoors because of the size of the field. The size of the field limits what the athlete can accomplish. I think that the sticks need to be the same size in indoor because it is more compact. I think the tactics of lacrosse differ in the outside game because you need faster, more endured players. The field is much larger so players need to be able to run hard for extended periods of time. Versus the indoor game where players should be quicker because there is short ground to cover in a quick amount of time.
ReplyDeleteI think in reference to the location whether outdoors or indoors is better has to do with the player. Depending where the player prefers to be. Many prefer outside in the sun, or some prefer inside, depending the the players oppion .
